The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has confirmed that it is currently reviewing new sexual assault allegations involving Sean “Diddy” Combs, adding another serious layer to the legal issues already surrounding the music executive.

The allegations were brought forward by publicist Jonathan Hay, who filed a police report in Largo, Florida, last September. In the report, Hay claims that Combs sexually assaulted him on two separate occasions, one in 2020 and another in 2021. Because both alleged incidents are said to have taken place in Los Angeles, the case was later transferred to law enforcement and prosecutors in the city for further evaluation.

According to Hay’s account, the alleged incidents occurred while he was working on a music-related project involving CJ Wallace, the son of the late rapper The Notorious B.I.G. He claims that during studio sessions tied to a remix project, Diddy unexpectedly appeared and later engaged in conduct that forms the basis of the allegations.

Hay described one incident in which he alleges Combs behaved in a sexually inappropriate and degrading manner involving a personal item linked to The Notorious B.I.G. He also claims he was subjected to humiliating verbal statements during the encounter. In a second alleged incident, Hay says the situation escalated inside a room where he was accused of being a “snitch” before being forced into a non-consensual sexual act.

Both the Los Angeles Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department previously investigated the claims independently before submitting their findings to the District Attorney’s Office. A spokesperson for the DA confirmed on June 2 that prosecutors are now actively reviewing the case to determine whether any charges are warranted.

Hay has since spoken publicly about the development, saying that the involvement of prosecutors and police validates his claims and represents a major step toward accountability. He described the review as progress in his pursuit of justice and emphasized his belief that the case should be fully examined in court.

The allegations add to a broader pattern of legal challenges facing Combs. He is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, after being convicted on charges related to transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. However, he was acquitted of more severe charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.

Despite the conviction, Combs is actively appealing the federal ruling, meaning his legal situation remains unresolved. The outcome of the Los Angeles review could determine whether he faces additional state-level charges on top of his federal case, further complicating an already high-profile legal battle.
