Leica has expanded its camera design language by introducing a new metallic grey finish across several key products, moving beyond its traditional black and silver styling.

The new finish was developed at Leica’s Wetzlar factory in Germany and is designed to give the cameras a more refined and modern appearance while maintaining the brand’s signature premium build quality. It is being rolled out across multiple devices, including the Leica M11-P, Leica Q3, Leica D-Lux 8, and the APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH lens.
The Leica M11-P is the centerpiece of this update. It features a full metal body finished in metallic grey, paired with diamond-textured leather for improved grip and aesthetics. Leica is also offering matching accessories, including leather straps, battery covers, and protective cases designed to match the new color scheme.

The APO-Summicron-M 50 f/2 ASPH lens also receives the same metallic grey treatment, along with red engraved markings that visually connect it to the M11-P body, creating a coordinated camera system for professionals and collectors.
Pricing for the accessories starts at around $200, while the M11-P body is priced at approximately $10,400 and the lens at about $9,990. These products will be available globally starting May 28, 2026.
Later, on July 16, 2026, Leica will extend the metallic grey finish to additional models, including the Leica Q3 and Leica D-Lux 8. The Q3 maintains its full-frame compact performance while gaining subtle red engraving accents, while the D-Lux 8 continues as a portable option with a zoom lens and matching accessory kit.

Prices for these models range from around $110 for accessories up to $7,350 for the Q3 and $1,915 for the D-Lux 8.
With this update, Leica is reinforcing its focus on craftsmanship and design while offering photographers and collectors a fresh aesthetic option across its lineup.
