The Clearwater Police Department has officially closed its investigation into the death of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, nearly a year after he passed away.
In its final report released on June 5, authorities confirmed the case has been classified as an “attended natural death,” meaning there was no sign of suspicious activity or criminal involvement. Police also stated that all findings are consistent with what was initially reported at the time of his passing.
Investigators said they reviewed video recordings, interviewed witnesses, and examined medical records to fully understand the circumstances surrounding his death. After this review, they found no evidence suggesting foul play, reinforcing their original conclusion.
Hogan died on July 24, 2025, after emergency services were called to his home in Clearwater Beach. First responders attempted CPR before he was taken to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 a.m.
Reports shared with investigators revealed that Hogan had been dealing with several serious health issues in the period leading up to his death. His wife, Sky Daily Hogan, told police he had recently undergone neck fusion surgery and a heart valve procedure. She also confirmed he had been diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and had begun chemotherapy treatment.
Additional statements from a manager indicated that Hogan had also started dialysis therapy shortly before his passing. Witnesses at the home said he had been receiving regular medical care and occupational therapy.
Police thanked Hogan’s family and representatives for cooperating fully during the investigation, noting that they provided access to sensitive medical and personal information to help complete the case review.
Hogan’s death has continued to draw public attention over the past year, with renewed interest in his legacy through documentaries and media coverage. Netflix’s Hulk Hogan: Real American featured one of his final on-camera interviews, while members of his family, including his daughter Brooke Hogan, have spoken publicly about his life and relationships.
Even after his passing, Hogan’s estate and personal property in Clearwater have remained in the spotlight, with parts of his assets still on the market.
