Sotheby's has officially launched its Abu Dhabi Collectors' Edit: Materiality, an exclusive online luxury auction that highlights some of the world's most desirable collectibles. Running from June 24 to July 10, 2026, the sale features just over 30 carefully selected pieces with a combined estimated value ranging between $6.6 million and $9.7 million.

The auction further strengthens Sotheby's growing presence in the United Arab Emirates and the wider Middle East, following the huge success of last year's Abu Dhabi Collectors' Week, which generated more than $133 million in sales and cemented the city's reputation as one of the world's fastest-growing luxury collecting hubs.

This year's auction is built around the theme of "Materiality," celebrating the premium materials that define luxury craftsmanship. Sotheby's draws connections between industries by showcasing how materials such as carbon fiber, titanium, gold, diamonds, and fine leather are used to create exceptional products, from high-end watches and jewelry to hypercars and performance bicycles.

One of the biggest attractions is the jewelry collection, led by five unique creations from renowned German jewelry house Hemmerle. The auction marks the first time these contemporary high jewelry pieces have ever been offered for public sale, making them highly desirable among collectors.
The jewelry selection also includes rare white and colored diamonds, elegant necklaces from luxury brands Bulgari and Van Cleef & Arpels, and a stunning 199.75-carat Mozambique Paraiba tourmaline, expected to sell for between $220,000 and $320,000.

Luxury watch enthusiasts will find an impressive lineup of 13 rare timepieces crafted from precious metals and titanium. Among the highlights are a ceramic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar and a skeletonized Richard Mille RM35-03 "Rafael Nadal", which carries one of the highest estimates in the watch category at $350,000 to $600,000.

The auction extends well beyond jewelry and watches, offering collectors a range of luxury lifestyle items and performance machines. One standout is the exclusive Bugatti Factor ONE bicycle, engineered using carbon fiber, titanium, and steel to deliver world-class performance while showcasing exceptional craftsmanship.

Fashion collectors can also bid on a limited-edition 2023 Hermès Black Box Midas Sellier Kelly 25 handbag, featuring elegant 18-karat yellow gold hardware, making it one of the most exclusive accessories in the sale.

The automotive collection is headlined by an exceptional 2019 Bugatti Chiron, one of the world's most sought-after hypercars. The vehicle is expected to sell for between $2.85 million and $3.5 million, making it the most valuable lot in the auction.
Additional automotive highlights include a rare Mercedes-Benz 500 GE 6.0 AMG and a collectible Ferrari F1 126C4 Junior children's car, which will be offered without a reserve price, giving bidders the opportunity to compete without a minimum starting bid.

Collectors from around the world can participate in the auction through Sotheby's digital platform, allowing global buyers to bid on these exceptional pieces until the sale concludes on July 10.
With its carefully curated mix of rare jewelry, prestigious watches, iconic automobiles, luxury handbags, and exclusive collectibles, the Abu Dhabi Collectors' Edit: Materiality further positions Abu Dhabi as an important destination in the international luxury auction market while offering collectors access to some of the world's most remarkable objects.
