TAG Heuer has introduced the Formula 1 Indy 500 Solargraph Limited Edition, a new watch inspired by the famous Indianapolis 500 race. The release continues the legacy of the brand’s Formula 1 collection, which first launched in 1986.

The watch comes in a 38mm sandblasted steel case and features a sporty black dial with racing-inspired details. Both the dial and the back of the watch include the Indy 500 logo and a checkered “bricks” design that pays tribute to the iconic “Yard of Bricks” finish line at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The design also includes glowing Super-LumiNova indexes for better visibility, a bright red central hand, and a brown outer ring with a 60-second scale for a more motorsport-focused look.

Inside the watch is TAG Heuer’s TH50-00 Solargraph movement, which is powered by light. The movement can use both natural and artificial light to charge the battery and provides up to 10 months of power on a full charge. TAG Heuer says the battery is designed to last around 15 years.

The Formula 1 Indy 500 Solargraph is now available through TAG Heuer’s official website. Only 1,110 pieces are being made, and the watch is priced at $2,250 USD.
