Casio has officially introduced the Pokémon x G-SHOCK GA-110PKM-7A, a special-edition watch created to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. The release marks the first time Pokémon has collaborated with G-SHOCK's flagship watch collection after previously partnering with the BABY-G series.
The watch combines G-SHOCK's rugged design with several details inspired by Pokémon's history. It features a transparent resin bezel and strap, paired with a clean white case. Bright red, blue, and green accents pay tribute to the colors of the original Pokémon video games that launched the franchise decades ago.
The dial is filled with fun references that longtime fans will recognize. A smaller display at the 9 o'clock position is designed to resemble a Poké Ball, while its indicator hand features the silhouette of Pikachu viewed from behind. These subtle design touches give the watch a playful look while maintaining G-SHOCK's signature style.
One of the biggest highlights is the watch strap, which features artwork of 29 different Pokémon from across multiple generations, including starter Pokémon from the Kanto region through Paldea, along with fan favorites Pikachu and Eevee. The mythical Pokémon Mew appears on the strap loop, bringing the total number of featured Pokémon to 30, symbolizing the franchise's milestone anniversary.
The back of the watch is engraved with a special Pokémon 30th anniversary logo, making it an even more meaningful collector's item for fans of both brands.
Casio has also designed exclusive packaging for the release. The watch comes inside a Poké Ball-shaped display box, which is then placed inside an outer package decorated with the same collection of 30 featured Pokémon.
Built on the popular GA-110 model, the watch also includes the durable features G-SHOCK is known for, including shock resistance, water resistance, multiple time functions, and long-lasting performance for everyday wear.
The Pokémon x G-SHOCK GA-110PKM-7A will retail for $270 USD and is scheduled for a worldwide release later this month. Pre-orders in the United States will be available through Casio's official website, the G-SHOCK Soho Store, and selected authorized retailers.
With its nostalgic design, collectible packaging, and celebration of three decades of Pokémon history, the watch is expected to be one of the year's most sought-after releases for both Pokémon fans and G-SHOCK collectors.
