Netflix has officially confirmed that Lupin Part 4 will be released later this year, continuing the global success of the French crime series. Omar Sy will once again star as Assane Diop, the charismatic gentleman thief whose clever heists and personal struggles have made the show a worldwide hit.

Production on the new season began in May, following the strong performance of the first three parts. The series has consistently ranked among Netflix’s most successful non-English titles, with each installment attracting massive international viewership and keeping the character of Assane Diop firmly in the spotlight.

The upcoming season continues directly after the events of Part 3. In the previous chapter, Assane pulled off a daring theft of the Black Pearl, staged his own death, and rescued his mother while trying to protect his family from danger. In the end, he surrendered to the authorities, choosing imprisonment as a way to shield those closest to him.

Now, the story finds Assane behind bars, where he spends his time with a set of Arsène Lupin novels that inspired his criminal persona. This setting opens the door for a new phase of the character’s journey, with fresh strategies and long-term plans expected to unfold from within prison walls.

Omar Sy has spoken positively about returning to the role, describing Assane as a character that continues to bring him creative excitement. The series remains a key success for Netflix, with its earlier parts holding top positions in the platform’s global rankings for non-English shows.

Created by George Kay and François Uzan, Lupin is produced by Gaumont and Carrousel Studios, with Sy and Louis Leterrier guiding the creative direction. The new season aims to build on the show’s signature blend of style, suspense, and emotional storytelling set in Paris.

Lupin Part 4 is scheduled to premiere on October 23 on Netflix.
