Katt Williams made a surprise appearance at Netflix’s roast of Kevin Hart, where the two comedians officially ended their years-long feud in front of a live audience at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
During his set, Williams joked heavily about Hart, their past issues, and accusations he made in recent years. He mocked Hart’s career, his involvement in the Riyadh Comedy Festival, and even repeated claims that Hart took movie roles that could have gone to him.
The feud between the comedians became more public in 2024 when Williams accused Hart of being an “industry plant” and stealing opportunities from him. Their issues actually dated back even further, including disagreements involving comedian Tiffany Haddish around the release of the movie Night School in 2018.
Despite the jokes and insults during the roast, the mood changed at the end of Williams’ performance. Kevin Hart stood up, shook Williams’ hand, and offered peace publicly.
Hart told the audience that although the two had been against each other for years, he still respected Williams as a comedian and wanted to finally move forward. Williams accepted the gesture, and the two hugged on stage.
Later in the show, Hart responded to Williams’ claims about stolen movie roles by joking about some of his biggest films, including Jumanji, Ride Along, and Central Intelligence. Hart laughed that Williams would not fit into some of those movies because of his unique comedy style.
Even after the jokes, Hart made it clear that the feud was officially over. He said he appreciated Williams showing up to the event and felt it was time for both comedians to leave the past behind.
