Hermès has expanded its renowned Cape Cod watch collection with the introduction of a new Titanium Edition, giving one of its most recognizable timepieces a lighter, sportier, and more modern appearance.

Originally created in 1991 by designer Henri d'Origny, the Cape Cod has long been admired for its unique design, featuring a distinctive "square within a rectangle" case inspired by the shape of a nautical anchor chain link. While the latest model stays true to this iconic silhouette, it introduces several updates aimed at making the watch more suitable for everyday and active wear.

The biggest change is the new 41mm titanium case, which offers excellent durability while being significantly lighter than traditional stainless steel. Hermès has also given the case a refined finish, combining a satin-brushed top surface with bead-blasted sides to create an elegant contrast that enhances its sporty character.

The watch features a stylish black dial with multiple textures that create depth and reflect light differently depending on the viewing angle. The center of the dial has a sandblasted finish, while the outer section is satin-brushed, giving the face a more dynamic appearance.

Large rhodium-plated Arabic numerals and baton-shaped hands coated with Super-LumiNova® ensure the time remains easy to read, even in low-light conditions. Adding a bold splash of color is the bright orange seconds hand, which reinforces the watch's modern, athletic personality.

Powering the new Cape Cod Titanium is the Hermès Manufacture H1912 automatic movement, which is produced in Switzerland. The self-winding mechanical movement displays the hours, minutes, seconds, and a date window positioned at 6 o'clock.

The movement also provides a 45-hour power reserve, allowing the watch to continue running for nearly two days after it is removed from the wrist.

Built for versatility, the watch is water-resistant up to 10 ATM, making it suitable for swimming, everyday activities, and many outdoor adventures.

Hermès has paired the timepiece with a collection of colorful rubber straps, allowing buyers to personalize the watch to match their style. Available options include Naples Yellow, Orange, Abyss Blue, and Black, offering both vibrant and understated choices.

The rubber straps not only enhance comfort during daily wear but also strengthen the watch's sporty appeal, making it suitable for everything from casual outings to travel and recreational activities.

With the new Cape Cod Titanium, Hermès continues to blend traditional luxury watchmaking with contemporary design, creating a timepiece that maintains the elegance of the original while appealing to modern buyers looking for lightweight materials, durability, and everyday practicality.

Hermès has not yet announced official pricing, but the new Cape Cod Titanium is now available through the brand's official boutiques and website, where customers can learn more about availability and purchase options.
