Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI is still on track for release on November 19, 2026. The company reassured fans and investors that Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated title has not moved from its planned launch window for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The update came during Take-Two’s latest earnings report, which also showed stronger-than-expected revenue growth. The company is projecting earnings between $7.9 billion and $8.1 billion for the current fiscal year, showing strong confidence heading into major game releases.

Even with the release date confirmed, one major detail is still missing: the price. Take-Two has not said how much GTA VI will cost, and that silence has fueled widespread debate across the gaming industry.

Some analysts believe the game could break the current $70 standard for AAA titles. One Bank of America analyst suggested it may launch at $80, arguing that a franchise as large as GTA could influence pricing across the entire industry.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has avoided giving a direct answer, only hinting in past discussions that premium games already range between $70 and $80 depending on the market.

The game’s release has also faced multiple delays. Rockstar initially aimed for a fall 2025 launch, later shifted it to May 2026, and eventually settled on November 2026. Zelnick has acknowledged the project is roughly 18 months behind its original internal timeline.

Despite the delays, Take-Two says the extra development time is focused on delivering the high level of quality expected from one of the most valuable franchises in entertainment history.

Reports suggest GTA VI could have a development budget exceeding $1 billion, making it one of the most expensive games ever created.

With the launch now less than a year away, attention is shifting to marketing plans, preorder details, and the next official trailer, which fans expect to arrive sometime this summer.
