Grown Ups 3 is officially in development at Netflix, bringing back many of the stars from the original comedy films.

According to reports, the upcoming sequel will reunite Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, David Spade, Kevin James, and Rob Schneider. The group originally starred together in the first two Grown Ups movies, which followed childhood friends reconnecting during family vacations.

Sandler will co-write the script alongside longtime collaborator Tim Herlihy. The movie will be directed by Kyle Newacheck, who previously worked with Sandler on projects like Happy Gilmore 2 and Murder Mystery for Netflix.

The first Grown Ups movie was released in 2010 and became a major box office success, earning around $271 million worldwide. Its sequel, Grown Ups 2, arrived in 2013 and also performed strongly, making about $247 million globally.

The new film continues Sandler’s long-running partnership with Netflix. Since signing his first deal with the streaming company in 2014, Sandler has released several successful projects through the platform, including Hubie Halloween, Hustle, and both Murder Mystery films.

Netflix executives have repeatedly praised Sandler’s popularity on the platform, with many of his movies becoming major streaming hits worldwide. With the original cast returning, Grown Ups 3 is expected to be one of Netflix’s biggest comedy releases when it eventually premieres.
