FOX Sports and Indeed are offering football fans a chance to get paid $50,000 to watch every match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The companies announced a special job opening called the “Chief World Cup Watcher,” where one selected person will watch all 104 tournament matches during the competition’s 39-day run from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

The viewing experience will take place inside a custom-built office located in the middle of Times Square. Every game will be streamed live in 4K using FOX One, FOX Sports’ streaming platform.

The role is not just about watching football. The selected candidate will also be expected to create social media content throughout the tournament, turning the viewing space into an interactive public watch party for fans visiting Times Square.

To apply, candidates must update their profiles on Indeed and make sure their settings allow employers to find them. FOX Sports says applicants with experience in content creation, journalism, or reporting may have an advantage.

Applicants must also upload a short social media video explaining why they are the right person for the role and include the hashtag #FOXOneChiefWorldCupWatcher.

The winner of the position will be officially announced live during FOX’s broadcast of the Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees game on June 6.

Applications for the role are open now through May 17.
