Ella Langley has officially set a new record on the Billboard Hot 100 with her breakout country hit “Choosin’ Texas,” which has now spent 23 weeks at No. 1.

‍

The latest milestone gives Langley the longest-running No. 1 song in the 68-year history of the Billboard Hot 100. The achievement puts “Choosin’ Texas” ahead of Mariah Carey’s holiday favorite “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which previously held the record after spending 22 weeks at the top.

‍

“Choosin’ Texas” was released through SAWGOD/Columbia Records, with Triple Tigers handling its promotion to country radio. Langley co-wrote the track with Luke Dick, Miranda Lambert and Joybeth Taylor.

‍

The song first appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 2025. After steadily climbing the chart, it eventually reached No. 1 in February 2026 and has remained there for an extraordinary stretch.

‍

Its latest week at the top was supported by strong numbers across streaming, radio and digital sales. During the record-setting tracking period, “Choosin’ Texas” generated 21.8 million official streams, reached 58.3 million radio audience impressions and sold 6,000 track copies.

‍

The song’s success has also extended far beyond the main Billboard singles chart. “Choosin’ Texas” has dominated Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, where it has now accumulated 41 weeks at No. 1.

‍

That 41-week run further highlights the song’s impact within country music, where it has maintained a strong presence while also reaching listeners across the wider pop audience.

‍

The track has also matched the all-time record for the longest run at No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, spending 18 weeks at the top.

‍

Langley’s record is particularly notable because “Choosin’ Texas” has managed to maintain its position across multiple Billboard measurements rather than relying on a single source of popularity.

‍

With 23 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100, the song has now moved past one of the biggest holiday hits in music history and established a new benchmark for chart longevity.

‍

The achievement also marks a major moment in Langley’s rise as a country artist, with “Choosin’ Texas” becoming the defining hit of her career so far.
