Drake has officially made Billboard history after becoming the first artist ever to occupy the top three positions on the Billboard 200 albums chart at the same time.

His long-awaited album Iceman debuted at No. 1 with 463,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week. At the same time, Habibti entered at No. 2 with 114,000 units, while Maid of Honour claimed the No. 3 spot with 110,000 units.

The achievement gives Drake his 15th No. 1 album, allowing him to break Jay-Z’s record for the most Billboard 200 chart-topping albums by a solo male artist and by any R&B or hip-hop artist.

Drake now also ties Taylor Swift for the most No. 1 albums among solo artists overall. Only The Beatles remain ahead with 19 chart-topping albums.

Iceman also recorded one of the biggest opening weeks of 2026, second only to Arirang by BTS. It also became the biggest first-week release of the year for a hip-hop or R&B project.

Drake had been teasing Iceman for nearly two years through cryptic social media posts and his “Iceman” livestream series, where he previewed unreleased music and interacted with fans. Songs like “What Did I Miss?” and “Which One” featuring Central Cee helped build anticipation ahead of the album’s release.

Just hours before launch, Drake surprised fans by announcing that he would not be releasing one album, but three full projects at once. Shortly after revealing the album covers online, all three albums arrived simultaneously at midnight.

The historic chart sweep further strengthens Drake’s dominance across streaming platforms and album sales, continuing one of the most successful commercial runs in modern music history.

Elsewhere on the Billboard 200, albums by Noah Kahan, Morgan Wallen and Michael Jackson also remained inside the top 10 during the week.
