Donatella Versace is preparing for a new chapter in her career, with the Italian fashion designer set to launch a new fashion and beauty brand in partnership with Revolve Group in 2027.

‍

The upcoming label will be Donatella’s first major independent brand venture since she stepped down from her position as Chief Creative Officer of Versace after nearly three decades at the fashion house.

‍

The name of the new brand has not yet been revealed, but the company is expected to offer a combination of fashion and beauty products when it launches.

‍

The partnership brings together Donatella’s decades of experience in luxury fashion with Revolve’s technology, digital infrastructure and international customer base.

‍

Donatella has described the collaboration as an opportunity to build something new rather than simply continue the work she has already done at Versace.

‍

In an official statement, Versace shared, “Revolve understands something I believe deeply: culture comes from connection.” “Together, we want to create that connection with a new voice, a new look, and a new energy,” she added.

‍

The new project comes after a major turning point in Donatella’s relationship with the Versace brand. She stepped away from the Chief Creative Officer role in 2025 after spending around 30 years helping shape the identity of the company founded by her late brother, Gianni Versace.

‍

Donatella became one of the most recognizable figures in global fashion during her time at Versace, helping carry the brand forward after Gianni’s death and becoming closely associated with its bold designs, celebrity relationships and high-profile runway shows.

‍

Her next project will now give her the opportunity to create a brand from the beginning, with Revolve providing the business and technology infrastructure needed to develop and sell the products globally.

‍

Revolve was founded in 2003 and has grown into a major digital fashion retailer with a strong presence among younger consumers and social media-driven shoppers.

‍

The company reported $1.23 billion in total revenue for 2025, highlighting the scale of the business Donatella is now partnering with.

‍

Revolve also reported continued customer growth in 2026. During the second quarter, the company had 3.04 million active customers, representing an 11% increase compared with the same period a year earlier.

‍

The company said that growth marked its strongest increase in active customers in three years.

‍

For Revolve, the partnership provides an opportunity to work with one of the most recognizable creative figures in the fashion industry while creating an entirely new label without the history and restrictions of an established luxury house.

‍

Revolve co-founder and co-CEO Michael Mente described Donatella as one of the “defining creative voices of our time,” adding, “This partnership gives that vision an entirely new platform and the freedom to build something from the ground up.”

‍

The company's other co-founder and co-CEO, Mike Karanikolas, also highlighted the combination of Donatella’s creative experience and Revolve’s digital capabilities.

‍

“By combining Donatella’s creative authority with Revolve’s technology, infrastructure and global reach, we have an opportunity to create something genuinely distinctive — and build it for the long term.”

‍

The new label is expected to cover both fashion and beauty, although the companies have not yet revealed exactly what products will be available at launch.

‍

That leaves plenty of room for Donatella to develop a different visual identity and product strategy from the one associated with Versace.

‍

The project also comes shortly after the ownership of Versace changed hands. Prada Group completed its acquisition of Versace from Capri Holdings in December 2025 in a deal valued at more than $1 billion.

‍

The transaction brought the historic Italian fashion house under Prada’s ownership and marked another major change for Versace following Donatella’s departure from its top creative role.

‍

Despite leaving the Chief Creative Officer position, Donatella remains connected to the fashion house as its chief brand ambassador.

‍

Her new partnership with Revolve, however, represents a separate creative direction and gives her the chance to establish a new identity outside the Versace label.

‍

The new brand is expected to launch in 2027, with further details about its name, products and release plans likely to emerge as development continues.

‍

For Donatella, the project represents a fresh start after decades of defining one of fashion’s most recognizable luxury brands. For Revolve, it creates an opportunity to combine established fashion expertise with a digital-first business model to build a completely new label from the ground up.
