Adidas has teamed up with Japanese singer Ado to release a special edition version of the Japan National Football Team 2026 home jersey, bringing together football culture, music influence, and modern street-inspired design in one limited release.

The jersey is built on the national team’s “HORIZON” design concept, which draws inspiration from Japan’s natural skyline and the meeting point between land and sea. The base kit keeps the traditional “Samurai Blue” identity, but reworks it with a smoother, more modern visual pattern that runs across the front, giving it a more dynamic and futuristic appearance compared to standard match kits.

What makes this edition stand out is the direct creative input tied to Ado’s artistic identity. On the front of the jersey, a large blue rose graphic is placed as a signature symbol of the singer, acting as the main visual highlight. This detail transforms the jersey from a standard sports kit into a collectible piece that reflects both football heritage and pop culture influence.

The back of the jersey continues the custom design approach, featuring the Japanese national flag alongside a bold illustration of Ado’s avatar wearing the same kit. This combination reinforces the collaboration theme, linking national pride with individual artistic expression in a single visual statement.

The design also focuses on blending performance wear with lifestyle appeal. While still functioning as a football replica jersey, it is clearly positioned as a fashion item meant for fans of both the national team and Ado’s music, expanding its reach beyond just matchday use.

By merging music branding with sports apparel, Adidas continues its strategy of building cultural crossover products that appeal to younger global audiences who follow both entertainment and football closely.

The jersey will be released through Adidas Japan on June 8, 2026, and will retail for ¥18,700 JPY (approximately $117 USD), making it a limited but accessible collector’s item for fans.
